Forest Masquerade Storyline
A lyrical, faintly haunting chronicle of one summer in a Bosnian forest. Benjamin runs the Magic Theater, an independent troupe that has been coming here for the eighth year running to prepare the play FOREST MASQUERADE. Worn down by bureaucracy and money that always arrives late, he's searching for something primal and free. But this summer more people cancel than show up, and amid cheap masks, disco lights strung through the treetops, and morning unease, a world emerges in which it grows ever harder to tell magic apart from escape.
